Window Tidy App Reviews

I am not good at trying new apps, I cant get used to anything new quickly. However, ever since I downloaded that app, I have been using it million times a day. Very handy !

This app is perfect to organize your windows cleanly. One little thing should be fixed for my fifth star : when using shortcuts in a multi screen configuration, the layout always apply and move the targeted window in the main screen even if this window is in the secondary screen when triggering the shortcut.

Does little and does it perfectly. Only thing missing would be to be able to arrange multiple winfows at once…

I tried several apps like this, but the most easy and fast to rearenging your windows, using mouse or keyboard, is Window Tidy.

Used the app quite a while now and by now it is really essential for my workflow. I usually don’t have another display and just the 15’ MBP display. But since I can adjust window sizes quickly this is no problem in most cases for me with the Window Tidy app.

Positive: I’m using this app for two years now and it’s the best and most helpfull app available for resizing/arranging windows on a Mac. I’m using Apple Preview (for reading PDFs) und Texpad or Word (for writing) side by side each day to summarize my lecture-slides for university and with this app I can arrange multiple scenarios like 1/3 for the PDF on the left and 2/3 for the writing app on the right. In need of improvement: * Options > Background > „Set to Current Wallpaper“ doesn’t work for me under OS X 10.9.2. Actually it never worked. * Layout Icons: Would be nice to get a design overhaul, e.g. transparent/glass effect icons like the iOS7 Control Center (without drop shadows). Then „Set to Current Wallpaper“ would be obsolete, too, because the background of the Layout Icons would blurry show what is underneath. I would love that.

Thanks for developong this App!! It is my most used feature on the Mac and solves a major deficit of the OSX operating system vs. Windows (next to XtraFinder!)

By creating Layout from active Window, it should be easier to create multiple Views at once and not opening the window multiple times to create new once. But all in one, what an awesome APP. Its worth every Cent ;-) I use it every day! Thank you guys.

This app does exactly what it promises and i use it every day. In my opinion It should be a standard feature of OSX. Not using El Capitan yet and therefore can’t say anything about Splitview.

I love this window manager. The Price is alright.

a litte expensive - but as it is working really good, worth the money if you ever wished to have an application to arrange your desktop(s) in an easy, fast way.

I’m using Window Tidy a couple of years now and it simplified everyday work with my Mac. I vote for Window Tidy :) Thank you guys!

I dont know why Apple has not made such a feature as default, but this app is just brilliant and does the job! easy 5/5

I paid $10 for this app, and now its free and it doesnt even do what it supposed to do.

The purpose of the application is to help you clean up the "clutter" by quickly organising your open windows… And yet, the developer makes use of pop-up advertising to attempt to sell other apps. Its a little sad to think of it and I have removed this application from my system and will never use it again. Poor judgement from the developers… If youd like to make more money, make a better app!

This application has been quite useful when reading through multiple journal articles on my desktop

This is a great app for improving windowing tasks. Its there when you need it, but doesnt get in the way when you are just resizing. Im a fairly recent convert to OSX from Windows7 and missed the window tiling features. This is a valuable app that will improve my productivity both in business applications, but also in coding as I can now easily keep a browser in one side of my screen and code on the other. The custom layout is above and beyond. Big win on this app - dont hesitate, dont keep looking, just get this.
