The app should have the ability to open automatically on restart. Otherwise, it’s a powerful app that I use everyday. Highly recommended.

I thought when apple’s “split screen” feature came out that this app would be obsolete but I was wrong - “split screen” is tedious and slow with no other possible configurations and it glitches constantly. I’m finding Window Tidy to be more helpful than ever now, making quick and customizable configurations a “snap”. The only thing that I wish the app could integrate is a way to actually “snap” to the edges for an even faster shortcut for splitting the windows, but other than that I’d say this is pretty spot on! Thanks app people!

I wondered if Apple’s split screen support was going to finally end my need for Window Tidy, but if anything it has made me love it even more. Apple’s split screen support requires the apps to be in full screen mode, and anyone who has used apps in fullscreen mode knows that works well in some cases, but also introduces a whole host of aggravating limitations. Window Tidy lets me avoid those limitations, plus I can create all kinds of pre-configured window positions to jump into quickly. Love it. Keep up the good work guys.

works great, had this application for quite some time. the improvements with updates are nice. don’t beleive it has ever crashed. there used to be size limitations in earlier versions but now window tidy really helps clear things up.

This is effectively more versatile and efficient than El Capitan’s dual window display because it does not lock windows and can be changed very quickly, without dealing with a green dot in every window. It makes everything snap into place deftly. It works particulalry well with larger displays. The developer also listens to people. What more could you ask for.

Works great: any time I grab a window to move it I take it to the resizing bar and pop it wheree I need it. Great user experience: fast and unobtrusive. Saves a ton of time with resizing. You can now do it in one motion.

Window Tidy is one of the several “missing” Mac utilities I would have a hard time living without. We all know that Apple users spend less time answering modal dialog boxes, but we tend to spend just as much time repositioning and resizing windows. Window Tidy solves that problem. Custom layouts are easy to set up, and easy to maintain. Kudos to the Windows Tidy developers for swiftly releasing an update to support El Capitan.

Apple tried to improve window handling in El Capitan operating system. They succeeded technically and failed miserable on intuitive operation. Window Tidy is intuitive and more flexible. I use it all the time. I am impressed how the author has kept it working smoothly through each operating system upgrade. I began using it with Mavericks and now run El Capitan public beta with Parallels/Windows 10. Window Tidy works without a hitch.

I don’t know what I’d do without this app, and I’m glad I don’t have to find out. Between the simple drag & drop window layout configuration and the ability to create quick keyboard shortcuts, Window Tidy is a must-have app for me. Totally worth the cost!

I use this with my Mac Pro and the 49” 4K Sony TV I have hooked to it. The defined layouts are great and have made the larger screen a pleasure to use. Great little piece of software! Setting up different overlapping layouts allows my to layer my apps in a most productive fashion, and most htings to be easily findable without having to hit F3.

Simply put, I install this app on every new Mac I buy or am given for work. It’s a must-have for working with lots of windows, especially when you need a bunch to be visible at the same time and neatly arranged.

I have3 displays and Window Tidy is the easiest way to wrangle windows on any and all of them.

This app is good enough that Apple should buy it and make it part of the OS.

It appears the the last release of El Capiton had a slight issue with windows tidy. After a recent update fixed the issues I was having. This app has been a favorite of mine due to how little it intrudes into the day-to-day life when you do not need it but easy to use when you do want to. Also the app has many adjustable settings to customize it to your needs.

Still loving this software!!! I use a program called Ubar which is a dock replacement app. Window management software doesn’t recognize that uBar is there. So windows get made too large. It was so easy to work around this with this software. A big reason I love Window Tidy is because it is so easy to customize the default windows. Apple couldn’t have designed this any better than this. I wish I could give it more stars. It is that good!

OLD: dimension limit - The "dimensions" preference has a limit. If is too big the app will crash. Be careful. Otherwise, the app is very good. UPDATE: the app is now very good very usable. I now use it lietearally every ten minutes everyday? :)

This program is so amazing. I have tried so many of these types of programs for task/window managing and this one is the best. I would still buy it if it was $20, to be honest. The way that it resizes windows saves endless amounts of time and effort. The interface is ultra easy to work with and customize. Don’t doubt this purchase, it will change your life forever!
